ASBESTUS is the specialist roofing division of The Blake Group Ltd, focused on the safe replacement of asbestos cement roofing on agricultural, industrial and commercial buildings across Scotland.
Many farm and industrial buildings constructed between the 1950s and 1990s were built using asbestos cement roofing sheets. Over time these roofs deteriorate, leak, and become increasingly fragile. ASBESTUS was established to provide property owners with a straightforward and professional solution to replace ageing asbestos roofs with modern, durable roofing systems.
Working in coordination with licensed asbestos removal contractors, we manage the process from roof survey through to installation of the new roof. Once the asbestos sheets have been safely removed and the structure prepared, our team installs high-performance roofing systems including insulated composite panels, single-skin metal roofing and GRP rooflights, along with associated flashings, cladding and rainwater goods.
Our projects range from smaller agricultural sheds to large livestock buildings and industrial units. We understand the practical requirements of working on farms and operational buildings and aim to minimise disruption while delivering a roof that will perform for decades.
